When people think about getting a pet, oftentimes they visit animal shelters to find pets that need homes. Have you ever visited a shelter, or do you have a pet at home from the shelter? For a lot of people, their pets are part of their family and shelter pets are no exception! Ever wondered what it would be like to go camping back in the days of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low? Campers went back in time for Evergreen Day Camp at Girl Scout Camp Evergreen. This year the camp attracted more than 50 campers in grades K-6! The camp also hosted over 20 program aides (PAs). PAs are older girls who help lead younger girls and can plan, create and execute Girl Scout activities alongside their adult mentors.
