The Seattle Times reported about MacKenzie Scott’s large donation to Girl Scouts of the USA, including quotes from Andrea Anderson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

According to Anderson, the regional council currently includes more than 16,000 youth members across 18 counties spanning from the U.S.-Canada border down to the Cascades in Oregon. She is currently working with staff and about 5,000 volunteers to rebuild and recruit to pre-pandemic levels of more than 20,000 youth after many left during virtual programming.
